β β β β β Rooms small but clean, good value. Have to climb a flight of stairs to get there. Restaurant is amazing.

β β β β β The food tasted like it just came out of the fridge and straight into the microwave and it came out that fast it must have been! Won't be going back here unless it's just to enjoy a drink!

β β β β β After so many hours of driving, my friends and I were keen for a cold beer and a fat juicy steak. Google suggested this hotel as a good choice in town. My friends and I waltzed in and we were blown away by the ambience. But oh, we got a shock of our lives when we approached the bar and requested for a table. The young man talked to the lady (looked like a supervisor) and told us "let me check with the kitchen". As we waited, we looked around and saw enough empty tables and an entire empty section, that was already set up. We were told 'the kitchen was flat out until 8:15pm (it was 7:45)and as a result we cannot be given a table,we were redirected to the Spencer Hotel. We suspect it's because we look a little different from the usual patrons.
My friends and I felt small, dejected, profiled, angry, discriminated against and sad. We came to have a good time and tour the area but instead we faced straight up racism. We were willing to spend a significant amount of money. They ruined our entire evening.Would not recommend to anyone who feels a little different .Please do better ,its the 21st Century.

β β β β β DO NOT STAY HERE. IT IS NOT SAFE!
The people staying at this place are quite low-socioeconomic. When we stayed there, there was constantly people yelling and screaming throughout the entire night as well was slamming things against the walls.
People would glare at us when we were walking into our rooms like they would rob us. We booked for 3 days and left after half a night to find better accomodation without people yelling and screaming or playing loud music.
DO NOT STAY HERE.

β β β β β Great service
Loved the burger, Onion Ring and chips.
Cooked to perfection with homemade patty.
Nice little touch with the Eyre Symbol on top of locally brought hamburger roll.
No complaints from anyone at the table

β β β β β Wasnβt the great experience. Ordered a few meals and drinks and staff forgot about half the order and we had to follow up a few times. Staff seemed very disinterested. The burger tasted cheap, didnβt even eat a quarter of it. Chips were also cold when they were served to us. Schnitzel and mushroom gravy was great though. Probably wonβt stop in again. The atm is also only PayWave. No way to swipe or insert your card.

β β β β β We called in for drinks and asked for a menu to look at with the view to returning for lunch the next day. The place is being renovated which is ok but staff seemed largely disinterested in providing any level of customer service, we wonβt be back. Hopefully Whyalla has more to offer than this, as what we have seen so far it seems a great town.
