I found Dr Matias to be quite welcoming during my first appointment. I was extremely nervous as I didn't know what to expect. From the first steps through the doors to the session itself all her staff were professional and welcoming. I have a follow up appointment soon and I'm confident that I will be more at ease this time around. As I wasn't very forth coming with information of my traumatic experiences, Dr Matias was understanding and was able to gain the information she required to make an assessment. I had my wife with me who was able to give a lot of information on my behalf and even when I was getting upset Dr Matias kept her calm and composure and was able to keep me at ease and provide positive feedback. I'm looking forward to our next session. I would recommend her to anyone who suffers PTSD whether they be civilian or Military/Emergency Services.
